Who runs this site

ElevatorCalc is run by Maxwell Industries LLC, Washington, United States, the company behind MaxLynk. For any question about this page or your data, email hello@maxlynk.com.

What the site collects today

  • Calculator storage. The calculator code sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser's local storage.
  • Calculator analytics. The calculator code runs no analytics or tracking scripts.
  • External code. Pages load Google's AdSense script; the other code libraries the site is built with, such as React, are served from this site.
  • Calculators. Calculations run in your browser. Opening or sharing a “Link to these inputs” link puts your inputs in a web address that is sent to the server, and that address may stay in your browser history and in request logs.
  • Manuals library. Searching and filtering the manuals library happens in your browser. Each manual link takes you to the publisher's own copy on another website, where that website's privacy policy applies.
  • MCP server and data files. The MCP endpoint lets AI assistants run the calculators. It receives the inputs in each request, works out the result and sends it back. It keeps no sessions, and its code does not store or log inputs or results. The calculator catalogue, llms.txt and llms-full.txt are fixed files built in advance and take no input.
  • Our host. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives each request made to the site, including the IP address it came from, the address requested and the browser's user agent, and it may keep these in its own logs under Vercel's privacy policy. We have not verified how long Vercel keeps them.

Advertising

This site uses Google AdSense; Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, as explained in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google AdSense ads

ElevatorCalc may show Google AdSense ads. When ads appear:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If other ad vendors or networks also serve ads here, this page will name them, link to their sites and say how to opt out of their cookies.

Changes to this page

We will update this page when the site changes what it collects, and change the date at the top. The terms of use cover how the calculators may be used.
